This beautiful red, black and bright violet lithographed and engraved block of ten stamps was issued on April 27, 1994 to commemorate the stars who played such an important part in the era of the silent movies.  The stamps were designed by Al Hirschfeld and include  Rudolph Valentino (1895-1926), Clara Bow (1905-65),   Charlie Chaplin (1889-1977), Lon Chaney (1883-1930),  John Gilbert (1895-1926), Zazu Pitts (1898-1963), Harold Lloyd (1894-1971), Keystone Cops, Theda Bara (1885-1955) and Buster Keaton (1895-1966).

This block of mint stamps retails for $24.95!

These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the Post Office.  Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift.
