Seller: muddy-feet (2,303) 100%, Location: West Malling, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 112215156424 For sale, from my personal fieldwalking collection, is this wonderfully rare Upper Palaeolithic, Gravettian bone burin-point. The tool has been made on a backed bone blade. It has a distal burin like point, the carved back forms part of the burin. The right lateral edge has a series of rounded notches, these are likely to have been for grasping. The proximal end is very slightly chamfered and appears to be a scraper. The base is concave with a very slight twist. A highly collectable piece that is in outstanding condition, far better in the hand. c 28,000 years BP Found Northfleet, Kent. Length: 77 mm Width: 25 (max) mm Thickness: 3 mm max Weight: 9.2 grams As I have personally found each artefact in my collection, I am able to offer a money back guarantee of authenticity. The area where this tool was found has been subjected to a great deal of construction activity, including road and railway building, it is likely that it was disturbed through these activities. _gsrx_vers_779 (GS 7.0.4 (779)) Type: tooth, Material: Calcium, Colour: Natural
