Seller: muddy-feet (2,303) 100%, Location: Kent, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 112222654056 For sale; from my personal fieldwalking collection, is this amazing Early Upper Palaeolithic, Aurignacian head. This early artistic artefact has been made on a unifacial black flint flake. It does not appear to have served as any kind of tool. It would seem to have been made as an artistic piece in it’s own right. It has carefully worked facial features. These include an eye, nose mouth, forehead and what appears to be some kind of rounded hooded head wear. It is possible that the maker created the piece around a naturally occurring flaw in the flint. The white holed area in the centre forming an eye. A very early artistic artefact that is in museum grade condition. Found Northfleet, Kent. C 30,000 years BP Length: 42 mm Width: 32 mm Thickness: 12 mm Weight: 3.8 grams As I have personally found each artefact in my collection, I am able to offer a money back guarantee of authenticity. The area where this tool was found has been subjected to a great deal of construction activity, including road and railway building, it is likely that it was disturbed through these activities. _gsrx_vers_779 (GS 7.0.4 (779)) Condition: A genuine artefact with provenance.
