Mighty Fluevogians, your lucky day is here. After waiting fifteen
long years to own these for myself a) in black (though the burgundy version were no less gorgeous and b) in my size I learned my calves were too big (which as you know is a pesky issue for all but a few of JF's boot styles) so these are heartbreakingly being listed in LIKE-NEW condition -- they've been worn twice at most yet the soles are so superb the boots show no basically no previous wear. Those familiar with the Lucky family know of the exquisite quality (check the site for more information.) They're stylish, functional and comfortable and one so rarely gets all three. I think perhaps they are magic shoes, trainers designed to look like knee-high industrial-strength battle-armour. Yet the leather does not need weeks of breaking-in before they're comfortable and the buttery-soft insole feels like slippers, I kid you not, these boots are a pleasure to lace into like a well-made corset but you won't be in such a rush to get these off your feet in the evening ;)
Then after you've walked and/or stomped miles and miles in these (we're talking
years here) you can still have Fluevog resole them at a very reasonable cost. Whilst wearing mine I have fashionably climbed several mountains including trails through Yosemite and reached the top of Vasquez Rocks (for those near L.A.), I have run for busses up San Francisco hills in the rain, hiked through the wilderness and even hopped rocks (successfully!) across a stream because of the special, rubberised sole (please take a moment to look it up if you're not familiar; the material, construction and business model behind Fluevog and particularly this era of Angels is extraordinary.) By the way after all of the aforementioned activity (and rarely polishing them) my 6-eye Lucky Swirls are no worse for the excessive wear (my go-to distance-walking boots since 1997.) If I wore them daily for two years they would then be fifteen years old and I could then see them needing their soles replaced but I only JUST split my F-Soles after eleven years of heavy wear/abuse. I'm telling ya, these shoes are worth every cent and are an obvious investment particularly when the company makes the shoes renewable. (Yay, yay, YAY!)
Boys -- remember that these boots are UNISEX! I knew just as many men with these boots as women -- bouncing soles for all! The signature white swirl topstitching is just bloody awesome, not feminine, if you're worried about that sort of thing. You want to look like a pirate with taste, bid on these boots. That's the only thing left to say -- "
arrrrrtrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhh!"
SIZING: Fluevog across the board is non-generous on sizing but due to the leather used in these boots my other pair fit true-to-size. This of course applies to the lower portion, calf circumference is where fit becomes an issue. Note: Angels can be stretched *to a degree*. Call any Fluevog store for more details as they'll be familiar with the specifics and be honest with you re: if they may fit you or not if you are more muscular than lanky in the calf region.
The legendary Lucky Swirls will be your new best friends and will make everyone terribly jealous cose they want the knee-high version too ;) Fluevog has recently re-introduced a shorter version of this style but please note on auction are the originals from the 90s still *made in Poland*. They measure 16" tall at the highest point and close with six holes and ten hook-and-eye speed-laces. The famous Angel soles do not appear tread upon at all; the only sign of wear is a dollar-coin-sized water?spot/stain on the inside at the top but that is obviously invisible if boots are being worn.
Don't delay, Fluevog today!
Estate sale specifications: I am more than happy to ship
internationally but please inquire as to the cost prior to bidding;
listed S&H are US rates only. I do not
charge for handling (that should be the seller's responsibility!) but
do require insurance on items valued $100 and more. Bidders in
California are required to add sales tax. PayPal/Cashier's Cheque payments are required within seven business days of auction
close. I apologise but cannot accept returns on any item unless
grossly misrepresented. Any questions are absolutely welcomed but
please ask them before bidding. Thank you for looking -- good luck!
Best,
Madame Leota

Measurement updates, found my soft cloth:
Bottom from toe to heel measures 11" long and between 10" and 10.5" inside but even after fullu unlacing them I had a bit of a problem calculating the most accurate inside measurements. The widest point on the bottom of the sole (right before the instep) measures 5" across.
These laced "normally" at around 13" but to give you a better idea a decent bit of my skin appeared around the tops where the speedlaces are; again, the Fluevog store can tell you the ultimate stretchability of the tallest Derbys because they've heard the question 29823498 times.
Just ask for what you need and I will do my best to take more specific measurements but these are a bit of a toughie I admit and the first Fluevog boots I've had to sell or measure. Thank you for your interest! :)
