Hi, This Auction is for a beautiful large single blade Saddlehorn knife that Case produced back in 1991 exclusively for the National Knife Collectors Association Club Members only. These beautiful knives were produced in limited quantities of only 4,000 pieces keeping the collector in mind and this knife has a very low serial number. It has the serial # 0086 engraved on it's right front bolster and when ever you can get one of the first one hundred pieces released, then your doing great and 1991 was only the second year that Case used the rare "Date Stamp" on their regular production type knives which they discontinued doing altogether just a couple of years later (1993)!.This big knife measures exactly 4 5/8 " in the closed position and features chip & crack free beautiful genuine Rootbeer colored bone. This knife has never been used, carried or the blade re-sharpened and comes with it's original factory box & packaging. This knife has nickle silver bolsters with brass pins & brass liners. The blade is made of Case's special formula of Mirror Polished Tru-Sharp Surgical Stainless Cutlery Steel and has a hollow type ground. The blade does have good snap with zero side play. The blade also features a very solid half stop position. Please see pictures for tang markings and etching. There are no flaws that I can see to mention. This rare and very beautiful pocket knife is absolute factory mint and I will not use the word lightly!.I am sorry about the pictures, because of the shadows and reflections on the knife, but that is all that they are.So Good Luck!, Thanks for looking at my auction and have a Great Day!
The bone used for this beautiful knife did come from the Bovine species of Cow!
