Carl Zeiss Jena DDR Tessar 50mm f2.8 Lens, EXAKTA mount

The lens has the following issue:

·       The auto feature / button of the diaphragm does not function as it should.

The diaphragm is operating manually very well but the auto button / option does not close or open the diaphragm-needs repair.

The lens diaphragm could be operated manually pre exposure.

Otherwise the lens is in very good condition.

·       The glass is generally very clean, has some minor dust particles and some minor cleaning marks on both front and back elements.

These are negligible will not have an effect on performance.

·       The focus is fine –but has some slight power peak near the end of the focus range-hardly noticed, no effect on performance.

Otherwise the lens is in very good condition.

The glass is clean other than the issues above-see pictures.

The focus is smooth

The cosmetic condition is Excellent.

Some very minor dent on top of the filter thread- hardly noticed and will not affect filter usage.

Since the lens auto diaphragm feature will need repair.
