The electro-mechanical mechanism is fully guaranteed for life.  The machinery is dependable, user-friendly, and easily maintained.  It has a new electric motor, wiring, and other parts to make it a good solid functioning machine.

The Miami Digger was one of the earliest diggers, being operated in the late 1920’s and patented in 1932.  The inventor William Bartlett operated them coast-to-coast with much financial success until the implementation of the Johnson Interstate Transportation Act of 1951 when most of them were destroyed, hidden, or taken to dump grounds for fear of Federal prosecution.  They were referred to by the Feds as the “Miami Digger Slot Machine” and were known to the public as “Nickel Diggers”.  This is a beautiful example of the Miami Digger of the 1930s , housed in a beautiful oak veneer cabinet.   It is the same oak Miami Digger currently for sale on the Vintage Amusements web site.

The digger will be shipped in the decorative replica crate shown in the images which can also be used as a display stand after delivery if wanted.

The base candies and merchandise shown in some images is for demonstration only (to show how diggers were operated in the 1930s -40s), and can not be included, but is available.
