Up for auction is this Chinese Government bond, from the gold reorganization loan of 1913, when a foreign consortium of banks made a loan of gold to the Chinese government. This is a 20 British Pound note. Don't miss out on the chance to own a piece of financial history!
This example is framed and in excellent condition, but please study the many photos below to judge the condition yourself. Also included is a sheet of bond coupons. There are 43 of them, ranging from 1939 to 1960. The coupon sheet is lightly glued at the top to a white sheet of framing paper. We have not removed it for fear of damage but it looks like it can be removed safely.
The bond sheet measures approximately 18" from top to bottom, and is 13" across.
