The raising iron you are bidding on delivers an excellent curve for forming and planishing large pendants and other designs in repousse, raising, armor and other artistic applications. This silversmith stake may used for any kind of jewelry making or metal forming.

The tool fits in an old version of the Dixon Stake Plate or the Stake Plate I offer in another auction. I offer these in a standard cast finish and some areas are polished as shown in the photos. The tool has a tapered post to fit into the hardy hole of an anvil or a stake plate.

These castings have been produced for many years and  have proven to be very reliable and useful.
