Countless thousands of specific owner's names are shown on most plots of land.

Lacking covers, atlas survives as just the sewn text block of hand colored map plates. The two supplemental maps at the rear are not found with this example (Michigan state & U.S. map).

Atlas is physically old and shows clear signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition. Paper is toned and well edge soiled, wide assortment of mostly short edge tears and paper faults from being used, still tight, sound internally. The Index leaf and the double page map of Porter both display long closed edge tears.

Book displays a unique age patina from heavy use. A working example of a rare 19th century Michigan atlas.
