This antique chafing dish may have been used with alcohol for warming food. It was made by the Manning-Bowman & Co.,Meriden, Conn. Pat'd Feb,15,1898.- June 16, 1901. The word PERFECTION is imprinted on the sliding opening brass cover. It has a black wood handle abour 2 & /2 inches in length. The piece is about 7 inches in overall length and 3 & 1/2 inches in width. It is in good condition. When the cover is open, the heating area is 1 & 7/8 X 1 & 1/8 inches.
