Seller: hoarder35 (1,132) 100%, Location: London, London, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 322343594121 A Beautiful Salt Cellar and Pepperette pair modelled as Toby Jug-like Gentlemen, each holding a tankard in front of them. The Pepperette is wearing a tri-corn hat and the Salt is simply balancing the bowl on his head! They each have minor paint loss to their orange trousers, (see pics,) and the Pepperette has a small chip to the side hem of his jacket. The only other chip is on the inside of the base of the Salt, where there is also a painted number 4. (See pics for these as well.) They also each have fleabites of glaze missing on the underside. The Pepperette has a circular hole on his bottom where there would have been a cork to fill him originally. There are still the remains of some sand grit within the Salt bowl, the remains of the firing process. Charming English Pottery figures from circa 1850 with bags of character. Please let me know if you'd like any other pics of these. Size:- (Pepperette) 15cms high X 6.5cms diam (max); (Salt) 14.5cms high X 6.25cms diam (max) Needless to say I will always combine shipping whenever possible. Should you have any problem with your purchase, please contact me about it, so we can work out an amicable solution. If the buyer or I feel the item requires it, then I will always arrange registered mail, as I have had some unfortunate experiences with the Postal Service.
