The exterior has a blue and white floral band. There is an unknown mark in blue on the inside base of the bowl. The base is unglazed and the glaze is uneven in places near the base. The overall measurement is 4 1/2" high and 9 1/4" in diameter. It weighs approximately 1.86 pounds. The condition shows rim chips and crazing. No repairs are visible under black light. * The manufacture of blue and white pottery may date back to the 12th and 13th centuries when various schemes using the two color effect of dark against light were introduced.
