These brackets are made of gilt bronze and date to the second half of the 19th century. The brackets were likely made in France. Each is decorated with a finely rendered cherub holding flowers. The backs are fashioned as quivers. The brackets are marked “MC 1081”. There are areas of wear on the surface and some minor oxidation. There are a few areas which appear to be resoldered.
