Alpha 76A HF Linear Amplifier, Low Hours, 100% Output
Had to relist as it was breaking eBay's FCC rules about the 10m band, so the unit has had the 10m mod undone to meet the FCC requirement of importing RF Amps that can operate on 10m. Set screws had been installed to prevent the band switch from going to the 28MHz postion... So here we go again!
This unit is in excellent condition, it has very, very, low hours on it as it has been is storage for over 15 years.
It has been recently tested to full power, 1500w on SSB. It is currently wired for 110V operation, but this can be easily changed to 240V. Inside is in perfect condition, the 3 tubes are very shiny, indicating the low usage this amp has seen. The CA model also has the higher rated, lower weight Hypersil power transformer. Everything is included, just key it and go. This commercial version also uses the higher grade N style connector for the RF out, so you may need an adapter if your using the standard UHF style. The only blemish to mention is the red paint for the RF power scale has faded from the meter scale. This should not be a concern as most people will have an external power meter in use anyway.
The unit weighs 55 lbs as is, the transformer will be shipped seperate to protect the insides of the amp. Cost of shipping will have to be finialized after sale as this varies from method and location. I would figure on between $120-$150 with most carriers like FedEx or UPS. I will only charge what they charge. If this goes south of the boarder then I may need an extra day for customs papers and FCC forms, etc that the U.S. requires for goods entering the States.
As this is a used item, it is sold as is, it will not be DOA. I cannot control what happens after that, so no returns! I don't have the orginal manual but can provide a copy if requested.
I'll be happy to answer any questions.
