The following listing is for a nice early yelloware crock. While this stoneware cookie jar is unsigned, it is most likely a Red Wing piece due to the style and after much research, Ive come to this confcl The ovoid shaped body has a coiled design and with a sponge decorated band in the middle done in reddish brown and blue. The spongeware decoration is continued on each handle. The crock has a wonderful crackled or crazed finish. It's in good condition overall but does have some chipping on the lid & its handle, which comes with age. This form and color is especially nice, and hard to find in today's market! It measures 8 1/4" tall and has a diameter of 6" at the top. Quoted shipping includes insurance and tracking.
