Seller: pennantique (3,515) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 262741523902 Penn Antique Restoration ~ 5 available ~ 32"x79"Antique Office Doors w/9 Textured Lites *Although there are 5 doors available, the list price is for 1 door. If you are planning on buying less than 5 doors, email us after the auction to let us know which door(s) you would like. Wonderful, antique, office or school doors salvaged from an old building in Northeastern Missouri. Each door is made of solid Douglas Fir and is stained and finished on both sides. The doors have a beautiful arrangement of 9, true-divided, textured glass lites, and 2 vertical, recessed (flat) panels below. Hardware: Except for a mortise lock, the doors are not equipped with hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit these doors (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid wood--email us for a quote. Quirks & Considerations: The width of Door#1 & 4 and heights of Door#1 - 4 were unevenly cut at some point, most likely made to compensate for a settling foundation or an old warped floor. We could evenly cut any door, cut it shorter or narrower, and we could also build them to be taller or wider to fit your opening--email us for a quote. All of the original glass has a pebbled or rocky texture, and the newer, replacement pieces have a floral pattern (see last 2 photos). One side of the glass is textured, and the other is smooth and slightly bumpy. Except for Door#5, which still has all of its original glass, each door has a different number of original and replacement glass. Door#1 has 2 replacement pieces, #2 has 2, #3 has 4, and #4 has 1. One of Door#3's replacement pieces is actually a different pattern (see photo). Condition: All of the doors are strong, sturdy, and in great shape with only minor cosmetic blemishes. Below are a few other blemishes that are unique to each door (see photos also): Door#1: There a few shallow cracks on the top rail, and also chips or small breaks along the edges of the bottom half of the hinge stile. There is also a small, thin piece of one of the mullions that broke off. Door#2: One of the lites in the top row is cracked in half. Door#3: There are some chips or small breaks along the edges of the hinge stile, and a shallow crack in the lower half of the hinge stile, on the interior side. Two pieces of molding around one of the lites has been replaced. Door#4 & 5: There are some chips or small breaks along the edges of the hinge stile. Once one of these doors is sanded for a new coat of paint, or stripped to refinish, most of the aforementioned blemishes will be removed by sanding. What remains will be covered by paint or stain, and only appear as subtle "character marks." Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: Since the doors came from an office or school, they were installed to swing outwardly, away from the room. All doors are setup to end up on your right side. They could also be installed to go into a room and end up on your left side, but the only issue there is that the textured portions of the Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with mirrors or privacy glass, install hardware, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Shipping: MD, DC, DE, PA, NJ, NY, & New England: We deliver to these states every 2 - 3 weeks . Home delivery would be $100 - $150 depending on your location for 1 door, and $15 for each additional door. Email us with the shipping zip code for an exact price. * If you need the item sooner or are located outside of our delivery range; we could crate and ship with a commercial freighter--email us for a quote. * Pick up in Scranton, PA is also welcome.
