The innovative Quadrack application attachment system utilizes hot melt glue sticks up to 8” long that helps reduce reloading time and, when combined with the palm trigger system, eliminates the need to forcibly press on the hot melt adhesive stick with your thumb.
3M Hot Melt Applicator TC with Quadrack Converter and Palm Trigger is a lightweight, easy to control applicator that dispenses up to 3.5 pounds of continuous adhesive per hour thanks to the included Quadtrack convertor and palm trigger. It maintains a fixed temperature of 385ºF (196ºC) and is designed for use with 5/8" x 8" Q low melt adhesive sticks only.
Details:
3M Hot Melt Applicator TC with Quadrack Converter and Palm Trigger uses 120V /150W power to maintain a 385ºF (196ºC) temperature for consistent, reliable dispensing of 5/8" x 8" Q hot melt adhesives. They built this lightweight applicator (only 13.8 oz.) for ease of use, with the palm trigger designed to provide variable flow control. The Quadrack convertor helps keep production processes moving by allowing use of 8" hot melt sticks (in comparison to 3" sticks for non-Quadrack applicators).

Low-temperature adhesive applicators operate at approximately 250ºF (121ºC) and are beneficial when bonding heat sensitive materials such as electronics, plastics, and cloth. High-temperature applicators operate at a minimal temperature of approximately 380ºF (193ºC) and can dispense adhesives that produce a stronger bond than low-temperature adhesives.
Melted adhesive is extruded through a nozzle by either pneumatic pressure, a mechanical trigger mechanism, or with pressure applied directly on the stick. Different nozzles can be used to apply thin, wide strips or narrow, thicker beads. Hot melt adhesive generally sets quickly, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the adhesive formulation.
