Seller: pennantique (3,515) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 262736016180 Penn Antique Restoration 33"x80"x1 3/4" Antique French Door w/15 Textured Glass Lites Handsome, antique, French door salvaged from an old building in Northeastern Missouri. It is made of solid Douglas Fir and is stained and finished on both sides. The door has a beautiful arrangement of 15, true-divided, textured glass lites. Hardware: The door is not equipped with hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid wood--email us for a quote. Quirks & Considerations: The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4" at some point, most likely made to compensate for a settling foundation or an old warped floor. We could cut the door to an even 79 3/4", cut it shorter or narrower, and we could also add wood to it to make it taller or wider to fit your opening--email us for a quote. The door has 14, original glass lites which have a pebbled or rocky texture, and a single, newer, replacement piece with a floral pattern (see last 2 photos). One side of the glass is textured, and the other is smooth and slightly bumpy. Condition: The was removed because of a renovation and not because there was anything wrong with it. The worst damage I was able to find is a small chip in the bottom corner on the exterior side (see photo). Otherwise, the door just has the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on an old, used door. Most of these blemishes will sand-out prior to refinishing or repainting. There are no serious flaws like breaks, deep cracks, rot, or warp. All of the glass is intact and great shape with only subtle scratches here and there. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: The door is currently set up to swing into a house, towards the right. However, we can modify the door to swing in a different direction--Email us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace the glass with wooden panels or different glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
