Seller: pennantique (3,515) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 262733673569 Penn Antique Restoration 32"x83" Antique Victorian Interior Door w/5 Raised Panels Distressed, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Southeastern Minnesota. The door is made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and has a traditional, Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement with 4 vertical panels divided by a small horizontal panel. The panels are raised on both sides. Hardware: Except for a mortise lock, the door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Quirks & Considerations: The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/2" at some point, most likely to compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped floor. We could cut the door to an even 82 5/8"W, cut it narrower and/or shorter, or even build it up to make it bigger--email us for a quote. There is an 1/8" gap between the upper, middle, cross rail and the hinge stile. This is more of a cosmetic blemish than a structural threat. The joint is tight, and the gap could remain, but if you don't like how it looks and want it closed, we could do it--email us for a quote. Condition: Considering that the door is over 100 years old, it's in good shape. It does have plenty of cosmetic blemishes from top to bottom (see close up photos), and if you prefer a distressed look, the door is perfect as is. However, if you want a cleaner look, after some sanding and filling with wood putty, most of the cosmetic blemishes will be removed, and once stained or painted, they will either be invisible or barely noticeable. The door is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door, which means that you could put your hinges on either side of the door and define its swing. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Dimensions: 31 7/8" W x 82 5/8" - 83 3/8" H x 1 3/8" thick Too tall, short, wide or narrow? We could increase or decrease the height and/or width--email us for a quote. Shipping: MD, DC, DE, PA, NJ, NY, & New England: We deliver to these states every 2 - 3 weeks . Home delivery would be $75 - $125 depending on your location. Email us with the shipping zip code for an exact price. * If you need the item sooner or are located outside of our delivery range, we could crate and ship with a commercial freighter--email us for a quote. * Pick up in Scranton, PA is also welcome.
