Seller: pennantique (3,515) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 262733062153 Penn Antique Restoration 32"x81" Antique Victorian Interior Door w/5 Recessed Panels Handsome, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Southeastern Minnesota. The door is made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and has a traditional, Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement with 4 vertical panels divided by a small horizontal panel. The panels are recessed (flat) on both sides. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Uneven Width: The width of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4" at some point, most likely to compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped floor. We could cut the door to an even 31 3/4"W, cut it narrower and/or shorter, or even build it up to make it bigger--email us for a quote. Condition: Considering that the door is over 100 years old, it's in good shape. A small piece of one of the upper corners broke off (see last photo). The missing piece is more of a cosmetic blemish than a structural threat as the joint is still tight. However, if you would like the gap filled, we could fill the gap with a small piece of wood, and insert two dowels (3/8" or 1/2" in diameter) through the corner to reinforce the tendon for good measure-email us for a quote. Otherwise, the door just has the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door, but no warp, rot, breaks, or any other serious flaws. However, once the door is sanded for a new coat of paint, or stripped to refinish, most of these blemishes will be removed by sanding. What remains will be covered by paint or stain, and only appear as subtle "character marks." The door is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: This door is currently set up to swing into the home towards the left. However, we could reverse it to swing into the home towards the right--email us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Dimensions: 31 3/4" - 32" W x 81 1/8" H x 1 3/8" thick Too tall, short, wide or narrow? We could increase or decrease the height and/or width--email us for a quote. Shipping: MD, DC, DE, PA, NJ, NY, & New England: We deliver to these states every 2 - 3 weeks . Home delivery would be $75 - $125 depending on your location. Email us with the shipping zip code for an exact price. * If you need the item sooner or are located outside of our delivery range, we could crate and ship with a commercial freighter--email us for a quote. * Pick up in Scranton, PA is also welcome.
