Seller: pennantique (3,514) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 272468512554 Penn Antique Restoration 32"x80"x1 3/4" Antique Arts & Crafts Entry Door & Sidelites w/Beveled Glass Wonderful set salvaged from a 1920's home in Northeastern, PA. The doors were removed because of a renovation and not because there is anything wrong with them. The door and sidelites are made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine. The door has an impressive, Arts & Crafts style arrangement of 9 lites, and the sidelites have 6 lites each. All glass is beveled, and except for one of the small square lites on one of the sidelites, all of the glass is intact and in good shape with only subtle scratches. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Quirks & Considerations: The width of the door was unevenly cut by 1/2" and the width of the sidelites by 1/4" at some point, most likely to accommodate a warped floor or settling foundation. We could cut the door to an even 31 1/2" and the sidelites to an even 11", cut them narrower, or even add wood to make them wider--Email us for a quote. The home the door came from must have had a fire because the lock stile edge has been blackened by flames. The flames only affected the finish, but the wood underneath is still healthy and usable. Condition: The door and sidelites are in great structural condition, but there are some cosmetic blemishes including scratches, scrapes, and nail holes. Most of the scrapes and scratches will sand-out prior to refinishing or repainting, the nail holes could be filled with putty, and whatever remains will just be character marks left for future generations to appreciate and ponder, "I wonder how this got there?" There are no serious flaws like breaks, deep cracks, rot, or warp. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: The door is currently set up to swing into a house, towards the right. However, we can modify the door to swing in a different direction--Email us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace the glass with wooden panels or different glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
