Seller: pennantique (3,515) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 272463340486 Penn Antique Restoration 30"x78.5" Antique Pine Exterior Door w/Window & 2 Panels Handsome, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid pine, has one 1/2-length window and 2 raised panels. If you think that pine is a weak, soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This shutter was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. One stile (vertical side rail) is wider than the other. I think that the door was originally a full 32"W, but was cut narrower at some point. We could add wood to make 32" again, or make it even wider--email us for a quote. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood, please email us for a quote. Condition: The lock housing is the only bad spot on the door (see 3rd photo). Otherwise, there are chips along the edges (see last photo), and the usual scrapes and scratches that you would expect to find on an old, used door. However, once the door is sanded for a new coat of paint, or stripped to refinish, most of these blemishes will be removed by sanding. What remains will be covered by paint or stain, and only appear as a subtle "character mark." Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: This door is currently set up to swing into the home towards the right. However, we could reverse it to swing into the home towards the left--email us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, make molding, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Dimensions: Door: 29 3/4" W x 78 5/8" H x 1 3/8" Window: 21" W x 31" H Too short or narrow? We could increase the height and width, email us for a quote. Shipping: MD, DC, DE, PA, NJ, NY, & New England: We deliver to these states every 2 - 3 weeks . Home delivery would be $75 - $125 depending on your location. Email us with the shipping zip code for an exact price. * If you need the item sooner or are located outside of our delivery range; we could crate and ship with a commercial freighter--email us for a quote. * Pick up in Scranton, PA is also welcome.
