Seller: pennantique (3,514) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 262736016175 Penn Antique Restoration 30"x78" Antique Exterior Douglas Fir Door w/4 Windows & 2 Panels Wonderful, antique door salvaged from an old home in Northwestern Massachusetts. It is made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine, and it has 4 windows & 2 recessed (flat) panels. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store. * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with a solid wood--see "Modification" below. Condition: Considering that the door is over 100 years old, it's in great shape. It has the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door, but no warp, rot, breaks, or any other serious flaws. However, once the door is sanded for a new coat of paint, or stripped to refinish, most of these blemishes will be removed by sanding. What remains will be covered by paint or stain, and only appear as subtle "character marks." Two of the four windows are cracked (see photos). We could replace the two with similar, old glass, or we could also replace all 4 with a different kind of glass (i.e. etched/privacy, textured, beveled, mirror, etc)--email us for a quote. The lites are secured with old-fashioned glazier's putty on one side of the door. The majority of the putty is intact, but there is a lot missing from the bottom of the 2 lower windows. The missing putty has little to no effect on the stability or security of the bottom 2 windows, but it does create an opening for draft. We could add putty to all of the missing spots--email us for a quote. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photo in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door, which means that you could put your hinges on either side of the door and define its swing. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, add decorative embellishments, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Dimensions: Door: 30" W x 77 7/8" H x 1 3/8" D Glass: 10" W x 18" H Too tall or wide? We could decrease the height and width, email us for a quote. Shipping: MD, DC, DE, PA, NJ, NY, & New England: We deliver to these states every 2 - 3 weeks . Home delivery would be $75 - $125 depending on your location. Email us with the shipping zip code for an exact price. * If you need the item sooner or are located outside of our delivery range; we could crate and ship with a commercial freighter--email us for a quote. * Pick up in Scranton, PA is also welcome.
