Lovely, vintage, cabinet lockset made by, "National Mfg. Co." of Rockford, IL. The lock and keeper are made of wrought-steel. We are also including the 6 installation screws that we removed along with the lock and keeper. Originally, the parts were copper-plated and finished with a black lacquer (Japanned). Over the years most of the lacquer and some of the plating wore off leaving the parts with a nice, distressed finish. The degree of plating and lacquer vary from part to part, see "Group photo," to compare. The sets were salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. At the point of salvage, the parts were painted, dirty, and tarnished (see last photo). Since then, we've removed the paint, and carefully cleaned and polished all parts, trying to preserve as much of the copper plating as possible. The knob of each lock has a dent (see "Group photo"). Otherwise, both sets are in great shape with no breaks, cracks, chips, or gouges. The locks' springs are strong, and the latches move smoothly.
