Seller: pennantique (3,515) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 272468505646 Penn Antique Restoration ~ 2 available ~ 21.5"x101.5"Antique French Door w/10 Wavy Glass Lites *Although there are 2 doors available, the list price is for 1 door. If you are planning on purchasing only 1 door, email us after the auction to let us know which of the 2 you would like.* Rare, antique, French doors salvaged from an old, Victorian home in North-Central Pennsylvania. Each door is made of solid Douglas Fir, and has a beautiful arrangement of 10, true-divided, wavy glass lites. Although the doors are being sold separately, as singles, we could convert them into a pair--email us for a quote. Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote Quirks & Considerations: At the point of salvage, there was metal, weather stripping attached to all 4 sides of the exterior side of each door. The strips were held on by many nails. We removed the strips, and now, there is a small nail hole every 2" - 3" around the outer edges of the door. These could be filled with putty prior to priming or staining. The widths of the doors were unevenly cut at some point, most likely to accommodate a sagging foundation or warped floor. We could cut the door(s) to an even 21 1/4"W, narrower, or even add wood to its sides to widen it--please email us for a quote Condition: Both doors are strong and sturdy and only have minor cosmetic blemishes that you would expect to find on 100+ year old doors. Most of the scrapes, scratches, and nail holes would be removed by sanding and/or filled with putty during the preparation phase prior to staining and finishing, or concealed once painted. All of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches, which come from over a century of service. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with mirrors or privacy glass, install hardware, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Shipping: MD, DC, DE, PA, NJ, NY, & New England: We deliver to these states every 2 - 3 weeks . Home delivery would be $100 - $150 depending on your location. Email us with the shipping zip code for an exact price. * If you need the item sooner or are located outside of our delivery range; we could crate and ship with a commercial freighter--email us for a quote. * Pick up in Scranton, PA is also welcome.
