Seller: pennantique (3,515) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 272468512560 Penn Antique Restoration ~ 2 Available ~ 32"x83"x1 3/4" Antique Victorian Interior Door w/5 Raised Panels * Although there are 2 doors available, the list price is for 1 door. If you are planning on buying only 1 door, email us after the auction to let us know which of the 2 doors you would like. Large, antique, interior doors salvaged from an old home in Southeastern Minnesota. The doors are made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and have a traditional, Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement with 4 vertical panels divided by a small horizontal panel. The panels are raised on both sides. Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Uneven Height & Width: The doors were unevenly cut at some point, most likely to compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped floor. We could cut either or both to an even size, cut them narrower and/or shorter, or even build them up to make them bigger--email us for a quote. Condition: Considering that the doors are over 100 years old, they in good shape. They have plenty of cosmetic blemishes from top to bottom (see close up photos), and if you prefer a distressed look, the doors are perfect as is. However, if you want a cleaner look, after some sanding and filling with wood putty, most of the cosmetic blemishes will be removed, and once stained or painted, they will either be invisible or barely noticeable. We could plug the break in the corner of Door#1 with solid wood for $35. The doors are strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the doors to prepare any of them for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: The Door#1 is currently set up to swing inwardly towards the left and Door#2 towards the right. However, we can modify either to swing in the opposite direction--email us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify these doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, make molding, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
