Seller: pennantique (3,514) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 272462949517 Penn Antique Restoration ~ 2 Available ~ 30"x81.5" Antique Victorian Interior Door w/5 Raised Panels * Although there are 2 doors available, the list price is for 1 door. If you are planning on buying only 1 door, email us after the auction to let us know which of the 2 doors you would like. Handsome, antique, interior doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Missouri. The doors are made of solid Douglas Fir and have a traditional, Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement with 4 vertical panels divided by a small horizontal panel. The panels are raised on both sides. Both doors are unpainted and still retain their original stain and finish. Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Uneven Height: The doors were unevenly cut by 1/4" - 3/8" at some point, most likely to compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped floor. We could cut either or both to an even 81 3/8", cut them narrower and/or shorter, or even build them up to make them bigger--email us for a quote. Condition: Considering that the doors are over 100 years old, they in great shape. They have the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door, but no warp, rot, or other serious breaks or cracks. However, once the doors are sanded for a new coat of paint, or stripped to refinish, most of these blemishes will be removed by sanding. What remains will be covered by paint or stain, and only appear as subtle "character marks." Below are one or two extra details about the specific condition of each door (see photos as well): Door#1 A small piece of the lower, lock stile corner broke off of the exterior side and there are many nicks, chips, and even a gouge or two along the exterior edge of the hinge stile. The piece that broke off was thin and small and does not need to be put back, but we could do so if you like--email us for a quote. Door#2 On the exterior side, there is a thin, short, shallow crack stemming from the side edge of the middle, cross panel and a small break in the lower, right corner of the lower right panel. The crack is very thin and the break is very small; they pose no structural threat. You could leave them as is or just fill them with wood putty prior to painting or staining. The doors are strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the doors to prepare any of them for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: The Door#1 is currently set up to swing inwardly towards the right and Door#2 towards the left. However, we can modify either to swing in the opposite direction--email us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify these doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, make molding, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Dimensions: Door#1: 30" x 81 1/2" - 81 3/4" x 1 3/8" Door#2: 29 3/4" x 81 3/8" - 81 3/4" x 1 3/8" Too tall, short, wide or narrow? We could increase or decrease the height and/or width--email us for a quote. Shipping: MD, DC, DE, PA, NJ, NY, & New England: We deliver to these states every 2 - 3 weeks .
