The following is a review I previously did: The entry way>>> is grand and parking fairly convenient (two garages adjacent to main building). The lobby is just gorgeous, we never get tired of it. Room assignment>>>>On our first stay (2004) we had a canal side room and enjoyed watching cruise ships /cruise/ by all week. We requested that side again but it was booked, so we were overlooking the pool. The resort is on the beach but there is a pool-side building (where most guests are) a huge lot (site of future buildings) and then a beach-side unit. So, we could see the beach in the distance, but the pool-side building is about a NYC block away from the beach. (shuttle available throughout the day). Another reason we like the canal side is that during our first stay we watched a rocket launch at Kennedy Space Ctr from our balcony. Unforgettable. We were told to call 24hrs in advance for room assignment and they would try to accommodate us in the future. The staff>>>>The maids gave us all the soap (laundry/dish/bath) that we needed during the week: we have always found the staff to be friendly. We always visit our sales person, Linda, when we go. This is our 4th and most recent timeshare. We don't visit any other sales people anywhere else, so Linda really is special. There's a linen exchange but we tend to just launder our own things. We've used it in the past w/ no problems but just washed our own towels this time. Activities>>>> we hardly ever avail ourselves of them. Can't comment, but there's a desk clearly designated for them. We ask questions there often and have always found help when necessary. WE'VE GONE TO THE FREE NATURE SHOW TWICE NOW (TUES NIGHTS). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- TRULY EXCELLENT. Resort Amenities>>>> We used the gym almost every day. It's large and very well equipped. It's not the cramped postage stamp that one often sees at timeshares, and it's one of the reasons we purchased. The pool is large and beautiful. There's a much-sectioned pool to the left as one walks out and a lazy river and water slide to the right. We always go in the lazy river and take at least one ride down the slide. The pool area was not over crowded. There's a clover shaped hot tub (like three in one). They tried very hard to keep the little kids out (a constant battle). The hot tub was frequently crowded. The pool bar/restaurant is totally adequate but just a little pricey. There's a movie theater (a screening room, not full sized theater). The arcade is large. There's a playroom w/ tubes, balls- it looks terrific but it's for under 12 year olds. We have a 12 year old and his friend with us. We barely saw them all week. Suitability>>>> Families first. This is perfect for kids. We've seen college kids hanging there too, and we've met a few childless, young couples at the hot tub who also seemed to love the place. We like the atmosphere of the place. They aren't done adding on, we're looking forward to what's coming next. The units>>>> are very roomy. We were in a 2br. The second bedroom has a small TV, it's a small room with two double beds. The hall bath has a shower stall. The kitchen-DR-living room area is very spacious as is the master bedroom. The master bath has a jacuzzi and a walk-in closet. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, not much improvisation required. We cook or eat in an average of two meals a day while vacationing with a kitchen. The freezer was exceptionally cold---loved that. The unit was clean. The shower soap dish is completely inadequate and there's no where to put the shampoo. Area attractions>>>>> Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach are pretty quiet. This year we rented bikes and went on all the recommended rides: the locks, Jetty Park, and the Cocoa Pier and a (rather short) stint on the beach. We went to the locks three times that week. What a wonderful place to sit and /chill/ though we never saw a manatee. Watching the pelicans feed is just awesome. The bike riding was great. We drove to Merritt Island which has Cocoa Village; it's quaint, the perfect place to lunch and stroll. The resort is right next to Kennedy Space Center. We always go to the Ron Jon Surf shop (open 24hrs). ORLANDO: done that a few times now. It's 45 minutes (parking lot to parking lot) to get to Universal. It's all highway and pretty much a stress-less driver. Disney is 60 minutes parking lot to parking lot. (80 mph). We usually end up at the restaurant on site.  It's very nice.   Cocoa Beach is loaded with restaurants of every sort and Cocoa Village is particularly nice.
