Seller: pennantique (3,514) 99%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 262734877212 Penn Antique Restoration 24"x79" Antique Closet Door w/5 Panel & Mirror Handsome, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door has a solid oak core covered with 1/16"oak veneers. It has a medium-colored stain on the exterior side and painted yellow on the interior side. There are 5 recessed (flat) panels on the exterior side and a full-length, beveled glass mirror on the interior. Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/16" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Oak is a very dense wood and the door would've warped long ago if it weren't for its veneers. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Condition: There are 4 small nail holes, which penetrate through the panel, and small pieces of veneer which chipped off (see photos). If you are planning on painting, the holes and missing veneer could be puttied prior to painting. If you plan on staining and finishing, we could patch the missing portions with oak veneer--email us for a quote. Otherwise, the door is strong, sturdy, and in great shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes--minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. The mirror is fully intact but does have some worn silvering (see photos), which gives is a distressed look. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: The door is currently set up to swing inwardly towards the left. However, we can modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--email us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Dimensions: Door: 23 7/8" x 79" H x 1 3/8" D Windows: 14 3/4" W x 66 3/8" H Too tall, short, wide or narrow? We could increase or decrease the height and/or width--email us for a quote.
