Beautifully engraved by the American Bank Note Company, these 8" x 12" large, guaranteed original certificates were issued in 1977 by the largest chemcial company in America! Both bonds feature ornate borders, underprints and medallions surrounding a stunning vignette (steel-etched illustration).
That vignette features 3 macho nude males symbolizing chemistry, mining and blacksmithing or steel work.
The green bond (a Collect-a-thon exclusive!) is in the amount of $5,000 to $25,000 and paid 8.50% interest! The brown bond is in the amount of $5,000 to $25,000 (highest shipped first) and paid 8.75% interest!! Underwriters were Citibank and/or Bank of America.
