My grandparents installed this sink in the kitchen of their small farm house nearly 100 years ago. It carries the "Standard" trademark and dates to 1924. Measurements are 52 by 20 inches. The backsplash is 13 inches high. The bowl is 25 by 15 inches and 5 1/2 inches deep while the drainboard is 22 by 15 inches - each bordered by a graceful 2 1/2 inch curved rim. The casting tabs on the backside of the sink allow it to be wall mounted as an option. This sink is in remarkably good condition for being almost 100 years old! All of the rust beneath the rim along the front and bowl side was removed down to bare metal and painted with a rust protective coating. There is visible rust and chipping along the lower edge in front and to the bowl side. Most of this measures no more than 5/16 inch and can be easily concealed by a bead of caulk. A narrow 1 inch long chip is in the drainboard rim and a small spiderweb spaulding in the enamel slightly above the bowl to the right. Chips are easily repaired with an inexpensive enamel repair kit available in most stores. There are a few dimples in the enamel however these appear to be from the original enamel firing. The two chrome plated brass faucets must have been original with the sink - both carry the "Standard" trademark. The porcelain handle on the "H" faucet is cracked but intact. Both were functional when the sink was last used in 1999 and only need a cleaning and new rubber seals. This is one of the oldest farmhouse sinks I've seen advertised on Ebay and would be a terrific piece for a vintage kitchen restoration. The sink weighs between 150-200# and is offered for pickup only in west central Iowa. Thank you for looking!
