Staffordshire-England is the only mark  on this group of play dishes that is credited to Allertons.  The design is a repeat decoration in brown with a Red Trim line.  This is often referred to as stick spatter, where sponge or some other material was cut into a pattern and then applied by hand to form a decoration.  The other possibility is that a stencil was used.  In either case, unskilled labor would have been used.

This dates to  1880/90 period.

The waste is the hardest piece to find in these sets.  I also have the Blue Sponge listed

This little waste bowl stands 2.5" Tall and is 4" across.  No chips or hairlines.
