Was told that it was from the 17th century, likely South American, that any chips found were from long ago, the attached rope may be three different old repairs, one handle is intact but a portion has crumbled away, it is never picked up by rope or handles, was appraised for $1200.00 USD. This handled jug is approximately 8 1/4" tall x 23" circumference at widest part, weighs 3 lbs. 8.5 oz. unpacked. Solid condition with many old issues, all can be seen in images.
